Update and Proposal from President Jill to the AADB-L list

Hello all,

I had mentioned in my report that I am not present on the AADB-L so
that I can focus on AADB business. The questions that are being asked
are being forwarded to me.

Thank you all for your questions, I hope to answer them below.

I would like to propose to the members that we have a designated
person compiling all the questions that are being asked by the members
of this AADB-L list and then sent on to the entire Executive Committee and
Board of Directors to answer.  These answers will be compiled into one
report and these will go out on the 10th of every month to the various
platforms of media used for AADB.

It was directly asked what tasks I have been working on.  These are a
few, but not all of what I have been involved in:

-  I am a member of each of the committees to assist in any way that I
can. I am currently requesting Action Plans and Goals from each of the
committees to promote membership to the committees and will expect
ongoing monthly reports from each of these committees going forward.
I will then be relaying these reports on the 10th of each month.

- Vice President Lynn and I are working on arrangements for another
trip to the AADB office within the next couple of weeks with several
specific goals in mind:

1.  Arrangements for some Volunteers and a bookkeeper to come and try
to clean up and finalize the issues we currently have with Quickbooks.

2.  Setting up appointments with TDI, NAD, HKNC, and the FCC to
discuss the current legislations and facilitate a collaboration
between all of these organizations to maximize all of our resources.

3.  Begin and attempt to finalize a comprehensive compilation of the
following items:
- monthly expenses
- membership dues received in 2010, membership dues received since January
- total donations to AADB in 2010, total donations since January
- comprehensive breakdown of expenses and incomes for the 2011 AADB symposium.

- I have been in communications with the AADB office landlord in a
joint effort to  sublease the office.
1.  The Landlord has advertised within her networks that the office
space is available.
2.  Two potential tennants have viewed the space but have expressed
that they are not interested in subleasing the space.
3.  The next step is for AADB to place a formal but intense adverstisement.

- I have also been active on Instant Messenger, Video Phone and emails
communications with individual board members, committee chairs and
also members to assist with questions that have come up. If I don’t
know the answer, I do my best to send the person in the right direction.

The committee reports will be posted around on Sept. 10th and these
will outline the answers to a lot of the questions of what actions and
plans are in place for moving forward with AADB.

Thank you again for your patience,

Forever Yours,
Jill Gaus and Asher
AADB President
